Shipping and Returns

The Model Heli Store uses either Royal Mail (Budget) or Courier for shipping and does NOT mark-up any postage costs. In fact, we absorb them on a lot of our options in order to keep costs down for you.

The store will calculate the weight of your order at the checkout and, using your delivery details, it will then give the correct options available for you to choose from.

We calculate postage to the best of our knowledge but if we find that any gross over-charging has happened we will refund the overcharged amount after posting. However, this is entirely at our discretion.

We will ship your purchases within 1 day of your order being completed but don't ship on Sundays, bank holidays and public holidays.

Same Day Shipping:

Royal Mail (Budget):
Orders received before 3.00PM* (weekdays) will be shipped the same day!
Orders received before 10.00AM* (Saturdays) will be shipped the same day!

Courier:
UK orders received before 2.00PM* (weekdays - no Saturday service) will be shipped the same day!
International orders received before 9.00AM* (weekdays - no Saturday service) will be shipped the same day!

* This does not include Bank Transfers which must clear into our account before any orders can be shipped.

Shipping Speeds:

Royal Mail (Budget):
UK - '1st Class Recorded' can take 1-14 days but typically arrives within the first 2 days. (don't panic...14 days is just the Royal Mail covering their backs!)
Overseas - 'Budget International Recorded' can take from 3-8 days. Typically it will take the full 8 days. This depends on your country's customs process.

Courier:
UK - All orders are delivered to you the next day!
Overseas - 2-6 days for the USA and most countries in Europe. Other countries may take longer.

* These times are given in the best of faith but due to the current world political climate some country's customs processes may cause delays.

PLEASE NOTE: The stated days for delivery are working days and do not include weekends or Bank holidays.

Tracking:

Royal Mail (Budget):
We use Royal Mail as the budget shipping option and therefore no tracking is available. However, all our deliveries must be signed for as proof of delivery.

Courier:
Our courier service offers tracking which will be made available to you as soon as your order has been handed over to our courier.

Weight and Size Limits:

For orders over 2kg we use only our fast and reliable courier service as Royal Mail don't ship over 2kgs for budget options. Also sizes over 65cm in length will go via courier.

Free Local Pick Up:

If you live in or around the Durham area we can arrange free collection via meeting nearby or us coming to you the same day as payment. Just use the Contact Us page to let us know.

Environmentally Friendly:

Obviously the safe journey of your order is paramount to us but we pride ourselves on being as environmentally friendly as possible when it comes to packing your order. That's why The Model Heli Store recycles older boxes instead of using new ones. So more often than not your package will arrive in boxes that we have collected from our own deliveries. This is a sensible way to do things as the amount of packaging materials we use is vast. We hope you agree.

Obviously it is of utmost importance to us that you are happy with your purchases, so if you are not, email us to organize the returns and we will refund you fully. However, this refund will NOT include shipping cost.

We "The Model Helicopter Corporation Ltd (The Model Heli Store)" reserve the right not to except any product back that is not in the new and original condition it was sent i.e unopened packaging. No product shall be able to be returned for a cash refund.

Refunds will be credited to the same credit card originally used for the purchase only. Refunds by cheque will only be made to the name on the cheque originally used for the purchase only. We reserve the right to charge a 10% handling charge if goods sent back because they were ordered incorrectly.

The user shall determine the suitability of the product for his or her intended use and shall assume all risk and liability in connection therewith; this will include all items sold or distributed by "The Model Helicopter Corporation Ltd (The Model Heli Store)" .

The user is required to read all instruction manuals and follow the manufacturers' guidelines. "The Model Helicopter Corporation Ltd (The Model Heli Store)" cannot accept responsibility for injury and/or crash damage or loss of kits, or accessories, parts and materials that occurs during the use of any radio-controlled model. We accept NO responsibility for crash damage. It is impossible to determine for certain whether crash damage was the result of a radio system failure or pilot error. We accept no responsibility for crash damage occurring during the use of a radio-controlled model. We accept no responsibility for improper installation of our products.
